Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 3, 2026

The short version: OrbiTerm collects no personal data. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no accounts, no telemetry. Your connections go directly to your servers; your settings stay on your device or in your own private iCloud. We never see any of it.

1. Data we collect

None. OrbiTerm contains no analytics or tracking SDKs and operates no data-collection servers. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, usage statistics, crash reports, or telemetry of any kind.

2. Your terminal traffic

SSH, Mosh, Telnet and serial sessions are established directly between your device and the hosts you choose. Keystrokes, command output and transferred files never pass through any server operated by us — no such server exists.

3. Data stored on your device

4. iCloud sync (optional)

If you enable sync, connection profiles and themes are stored in your personal, private iCloud (CloudKit) database, tied to your Apple Account and governed by Apple's privacy policy. This database is technically inaccessible to us: we cannot read, list, or recover its contents. Secrets in the Keychain are never uploaded by OrbiTerm. Sync is off by default and can be disabled at any time.

5. AI features (optional, off by default)

6. Local automation (MCP server, optional)

OrbiTerm can expose a local automation interface for AI tools on your own Mac only (loopback address, token-protected, off by default). It accepts no connections from the network and reports nothing to us.

7. Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details and no personally identifying billing information.

8. Children

OrbiTerm is a professional tool, is not directed at children, and collects no data from anyone — including children.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. Because the app collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare and editorial.
